Ormarine Cellar attaches great importance to the protection of our environment and of its vineyards.
From 2013, with the help of Conseil General de l’Herault, our members have set up a method of mating disruption (diffusion of pheromomes) in order to limit the phytosanitary treatments against worm pest in grape cluster.
In this dynamic approach of environment respect, Ormarine Cellar has also decided to orientate its vineyards towards organic farming. Some of our members have embarked on this path since 2011, which allows us to offer an organic range of wines sourced from grapes certified “organic farming”.
The Cave de l’Ormarine obtained the certification Terra Vitis in 2018 providing it the opportunity to highlight its involvement in a sustainable and integrated wine growing. Terra Vitis is an environmental certification recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture. This project is the signature of the wine growers who respect nature, human being and wine.
Since December 2016, the Ormarine Cellar is certified IFS FOOD.
This quality repository is based on the Management of food quality and safety , has been created at international level to :
- Guarantee the security of food products to the consumer
- Standardize international legal and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate food suppliers on the basis of common criteria
